Collaborate

Turn shared challenges

into collective impact

Collaborating to drive change

Valley partners collaborate across sectors to co-create initiatives that address critical challenges in nutrition, sustainability, talent, and agrifood innovation.

No single organisation can transform the food system alone. Real impact happens when industry, startups, academia, and institutions work together on long-term, mission-driven projects.

Your expertise + our initiatives = measurable impact

SFNV-led initiatives

Our initiatives are structured platforms for collaboration. Each one addresses a strategic food system challenge and hosts concrete projects co-developed with partners and collaborators.

Nutrition4Metabolic Health

Switzerland spends CHF 100 billion on healthcare annually — yet only 1.8% goes to prevention. Non-communicable diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease account for 72% of those costs, and nutrition is one of the most powerful levers to address them. Together with Swiss Re and 12 Valley partners, we're uniting stakeholders across food, health, science, insurance and policy to develop cross-sector pilot projects that make nutrition a real driver of metabolic health in Switzerland.

FAO Global Scaling Hub

Swiss innovation has the power to solve global food challenges — but only if it reaches the people who need it most. The Swiss-Global Innovation Scaling Hub connects Swiss innovators with stakeholders in the Global South to co-develop and deploy real solutions that strengthen food security, improve nutrition, and drive systemic impact. In partnership with the FAO, the initiative brings together leading Swiss ecosystem players to translate innovation into practice where it matters most.

Ecotrophelia Switzerland

The next generation of food innovators is already at work in Swiss universities. Ecotrophelia is the national student competition for sustainable food innovation — back in Switzerland after a 12-year absence, brought back by SFNV in 2025. Student teams develop eco-friendly, market-ready food products tackling real industry challenges. The winning team earns the right to represent Switzerland at Ecotrophelia Europe.

Get introduced

Sometimes, the fastest way forward is the right introduction. Valley partners can request introductions to other partners and selected players across the Swiss and international food ecosystem. Whether you’re looking for a pilot partner, an expert, an investor, or a collaborator, we help open the right doors.
